Golf Club Condition Ratings Explained

To help you buy with confidence, all of our golf clubs are carefully inspected and graded using the condition ratings below. These descriptions are designed to clearly explain what you can expect when purchasing second-hand golf clubs from us.

Our Quality Promise

Every club we sell is inspected to ensure it is fully playable and fit for purpose. Any club with a worn or poor-quality grip is replaced with a good, playable grip, so you can take your clubs straight to the course with confidence.

New – Wrapper Intact

Brand new club that has never been used and still has the original protective wrapping intact. The club is in perfect condition.

Just Second Hand (Played Once or Twice)

Clubs that have seen very minimal use, typically played once or twice. They show little to no signs of wear and are extremely close to new in appearance and performance.

Excellent

Clubs that have been lightly used and well cared for. There may be very minor signs of use, but no cosmetic damage that would be noticeable at address. Performance is unaffected.

Good

Clubs that have been played but remain in solid condition. There are visible signs of use, such as light surface marks, but no cosmetic wear that affects performance or playability.

Fair

Clubs with clear cosmetic wear, including marks or scuffs from regular use. While they may show visible damage, this does not affect the performance or functionality of the club.

Poor

Clubs that are heavily worn cosmetically, with obvious signs of long-term use. Despite the appearance, the club remains functional and playable, but aesthetics are significantly reduced.
